Edge God Out I was lead to believe,
ego is never good.
Arrogance, know it all people pleaser,
selfish, misunderstood.

Ego is good, it learns and remembers,
it will on occasions remind.
Of things we have often forgotten,
and can also be unkind.

Like a child with a temper tantrum,
it can rear its ugly head.
This is when you take control,
before anything gets said.

Be a good parent to your ego,
it has served you thus far.
Always be in the driving seat,
never let it drive your car.

Ego must sit in the passenger seat,
never in the back.
Share the journey together,
to keep ego on track.

Like the inner child,
ego comes to play.
Befriending is required,
keeping those tantrums away.

Be in the moment,
be the best version of you.
Live and love your life,
and your ego will follow too.
